The Arts Society NE Cheshire – Raphael: A Master in the Making – 11 March
By Editor Girl on Mar 05, 2020
Together with art historian Sian Walters we explore how Raphael moved from humble initial commissions in and around his home town of Urbino to a covetous position at the court of the most important patron in Italy, Pope Julius II, for whom he created some of the most sublime and influential frescoes of the early 16th century.
The talk is at the Brookdale in Bramhall on 11th March at 10:30 am with coffee from 9:45am.
Potential new members are welcome. To attend as a visitor (£8) please contact Maggie Schofield on 0161 427 9451 or email info@theartssocietynortheastcheshire.org.uk.
