Notes

Originally named Woods Lane Secondary Modern School, the school opened in 1936 and was massively expanded in the 1960s and 1970s and became comprehensive, first as Cheadle Hulme County High School, then as Cheadle Hulme High School in 1974. In 1997 it was rebranded to Cheadle Hulme College to reflect its new status as a Language College, but it changed back to High School in 2005 to avoid confusion with Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College. It was also made a training school in 2000.

The school is next to the site of the Jonathan Robinson School, which is now a wooded area next to the car park.
