Stanley Road

Stanley Road stretches from Grove Lane in the east to the A34 (Wilmslow Road) in the west. It once formed a longer road with Grove Lane, known as Rogues Lane. Prior to the building of the Handforth bypass, the road went straight through towards Earl Road, but now there is a large roundabout, and several derelict houses on the left. Further west, there is the Seashell Trust. The road past the bypass has a fairly rural feel, due to fields on either side of it for many parts of it.
