St Ann's Church (sometimes spelled as Anne) was built as a response to the growing community of Catholic people in Cheadle Hulme. The closest Catholic church was in Cheadle, but this was inconvenient for villagers of Cheadle Hulme. During the second world war, The Kings Hall was used for Mass services, but following the war, plans were made for a new church and St. Ann's opened in 1952.
