Moseley Hall Grammar School
From Site
Moseley Hall Grammar School was a grammar school, opened in 1946 following the 1944 education act. Situated where the Village Hotel now is opposite Schools Hill, it was a Tudor-style black and white building known as Moseley Hall with an obscure history prior to its purchase by the government. It was co-educational until 1956, when the girls moved to a new site in Cheadle Hulme. The school remained in use until 1970, when a new one was built next to the girls' school at a cost of £370,000. Moseley Hall was later demolished. The schools remained separate until the late 1980s, and they now form part of the present-day Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College.
