John Millington is located on Station Road. It occupies a Grade II listed building known as Millington Hall, which was built in 1683 for an alderman (similar to a councillor) named John Millington (c.1650 – 1 September 1694). While the hall was being built, Millington and his wife Sarah lived in cottages that one hundred or so years later became home to early Methodist meetings.
For many years the building was a restaurant, but in July 2004 it was taken over by Hydes and it was refurbished into a pub.
