Cheadle Hulme High School for Girls
From Site
Cheadle Hulme High School for Girls is very much a forgotten school, that is barely mentioned at all in local history books. It was originally situated on Albert Road, but later moved to Swann Lane, on what is now Lyme Lea Close. It was co-run by Emily Reynolds and Mady Greenwood. Sarah Reynolds and Mabel Phythian were two of the teachers.
The school later merged with Hulme Hall Grammar School in 1964, which at the time was an all-boys school. The school became home to the junior and nursery departments, but it was left in 1998 and later demolished. Now it has houses built on its site.
